Print Screen with Snipping Tool Windows 7

Hi all readers, it's a long time no update in here. I'm sorry for that, it because I need to focus for my mini Thesis for my graduate. Until now I still working on it, but now I'm on a stuck. So I want to make a little talk in here. This is a simple thing that we do with our computer activities, we want to capture an image from our desktop. There are so many application for that, as example my Laptop has a dedicated button to do that. I mean a real dedicated one, not the print screen button. But we have a problem here, because sometimes we are not need whole the screen to capture, just a piece of it. Usually we push print screen button and we make another step to crop it whit another softwares or applications. In Windows 7 we have it with one tool.

Maybe a new user for Windows 7 didn't know about this one. It's called Snipping Tool. You will find this tool in accessories folder in start menu. You will see this icon.

You just need to click it and you will get a pointer to point from where to where location on your desktop need to be captured. So, you don't need to print screen your desktop and editing for your need. Just click, drag the area, then finish. You can save it or directly use it with your document or anything else you want. But just in case, I suggest to save it for another purpose. That's all, I hope you will find an easiest way to do print screen your desktop. See you in the next post.

Make your Wordpress blog Mobile site

Let we talk about a mobile site today. It's mean we want to see our web/blog with our phone. More over people now access the internet using their mobile gadget, like iphone, blackberry, telephone cellular, and many others. As we know, viewing a website using computer is different if we viewing it with mobile gadget. Usually it's always different user interface for 2 type. For example you can see www.facebook.com, m.facebook.com and touch.facebook.com. You will really feel the different.

OK, I assume that you already have a blog that can be viewed with computer. But you didn't facilitated for mobile user. What will you do? Will you hire a programmer to do that? I hope you didn't do that before read this article. It's a great advantages if you use Wordpress, because they have a plugin to detect your visitor browser and type of device that they use to come to your blog. Just install the plugin, set the rule, set the themes, and done. You already get your mobile site.
But how if you didn't use Wordpress? There are a lot of third party that can convert your website to a mobile site. In example you can use mippin.com to make your mobile site. The disadvantage using third party that you have to use their subdomain. You can cheat this one by using your own subdomain and redirect it to your mippin address. Give it a try guys.

How to Claim your Blog at Technorati

It's a quite long time for me not write any article here. I'm so sorry for that, it because my study need more attention. OK, now we will talk about technorati. Technorati is a kind of a thousand or maybe a million blog directory. It's famous as like others. Some blogger use this for get more traffic from other users in technorati. I assume that you already create an account here and had added your blog. The problem is you didn't know what to do to claim it, actually before read this post :D. Like usually, we'll try to explain how to claim your blog at technorati step by step. Here we go :

As my assumption, you already have an account and had added your blog. So we need to claim it as we are the author of that blog.
Actually, it's just a simple step, maybe need a couple of minutes. Technorati ask you to creat a new post on your blog with random string that they give to you.
Now follow their instructions to create that post. Give the title and content for your new post with random string.
After you create that post, back to your account on technorati and give a punch to "complete claim" link there.
Wait for a seconds, and your blog will be added to your account.

Open Linux Partitions from Windows 7

Now we'll talking about opening linux file system from our windows. We are not talking vice versa, because it's allready default linux can read windows partitions. If we have a dual booting computer, windows and linux both, we have a little problem to communicated between each file type.

The problem we've meet is to open linux partition from windows. As default we can't read it directly. So we need a tools or software to help us for it. There are so many software could help us, but for windows 7 only 1 software can run properly, ext2fsd. We talk about it like usual, step by step :

Download the software first. Find the latest version (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/files/).
Before run and install the software, first set the properties to make it compatible for windows vista service pack 2 and run it as administrator.
That's the main problem solver. Now you can run the software and reboot it.

Default setting for the software is not to run when you reboot. We need to modify the setting, make it automatically run when starting your computer. Now your linux partition will be see like normal partition in windows. Try it my friends.

PDF Converter | Convert pdf file to it source type

Sometimes we want to edit a pdf file to rewrite or make a little change. But we can't do it directly to edit the pdf file. So we need to change it to source type, like word, excel, power point, and etc. How to do that? We need a tools to change from pdf to it source file.

AnyBizSoft PDF Converter are one of so many tools we can use. I try this software and give me a good result. There are 2 types, full version when we buy it and trial version that only can convert 3 page.

I have no money to buy full version, so I use the trial one :D. I use AnyBizSoft PDF to convert pdf file I have get from my college teacher. Some files use a full color, so when I want to print it, I use so many ink for that useless color. This is the reason why I use AnyBizSoft.

The result is very very good for me because I can edit it like flipping my own hand. Then I think about how to convert it again to pdf? For this problem, there are so many tools we can use, freeware or commercial tools. Try this one my friends.....

ReminderFox : Never forget your schedule when browsing

Hello all my readers, it's a long time no see yeah. I'm so sorry for that, but there are so many things I need to handle in the real world. Now, I want to write about an add-on for Mozilla Firefox.

ReminderFox, a reminder for you when browsing on internet. Sometimes, we forget to do something when we browse our favorite sites. With ReminderFox, it will give us a signal as we set it.

OK, I'll give a review about this and give you step by step to use it. As usual, I write it point to point and give pictures to make it easy to follow.

I think you have installed the add-on. If not, you can find it easily at firefox add-on site.
Access your ReminderFox options with 2 ways. First one, go to Tools -- > ReminderFox -- > Option. Second one, point your mouse to bottom right corner and double click red ribbon icon.
I hope you see like what I see here. There are 2 tabs, Reminder anda ToDo's tab. Let we make you see like this one.
On the right area, we see a calender. If you see like that, welcome to ReminderFox.
Now we'll add a reminder for us to do. It's really easy, just select your date, month, and year that you have make a schedule. Double click on it.
Then you will see like this one I hope. Write your description, choose your duration, and something else you want.

Implementing Search Engine Optimizer | Basic

Now a day, position on search engine really matter for webmaster to achieve. What is making this so important? Generally, user come first to search engine before find a web/blog that contains what they want. User will thinks that the first position on search engine is the most relevant web/blog with query. This is the main problem that push webmaster to get number one on search engine result page (SERP).

There are so many way to get first position on search engine, all of that called as Search Engine Optimizer (SEO). So many techniques, ways, and tricks to get it. You can find it on web/blog that talking about this on it focus. For now, I'll share how I get this blog with SEO. Implementing search engine optimizer is not so difficult, sometimes we're not realized we already done it. These are basic things to do on SEO for beginner like me :

Use meta tag. I put it manual on the template code before and fill it with keywords
Use a "long" and focus title. A "long" title mean we have to make it clear about the contain. Never use a short title because we'll lose our targeted reader
Use emphasize at the keyword. Search engine will read H1 first before others thing.
Use tag or category to make your post more powerfull
If use an image, never forget to give title and alt tag on it
Find backlink for your post. Backlink can be from your own website or from others website.

Those are SEO implemented on this blog. I still learn another ways to improve it. Maybe if you have a trick to increase SEO, please tell me about it. Knowledge for us :D

Solve the Problems : Running Android Emulator in Windows 7

Android is a mobile operating system that uses a modified version of the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Android Inc., a firm later purchased by Google, and lately by the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.
The unveiling of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 47 hardware, software, and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices.Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software and open source license.
On Feb 16, 2010 Google announced that 60,000 android cell phones are shipping per day.
That's a brief talking about android. After read it, I'm interesting want to find out how to develop an application that running above it. So I decide to download the Android SDK and eclipse plugin, ADT plugin. It help me to write the source code program with eclipse and run it with AVD, android virtual device.
Before write a new code, I think to test fist the emulator to know it really work or not. As I afraid, it's totally didn't work at all. I have a little error message that you will see in this image below

I'm asking to myself what's going on in here? First time I'm thinking about user access to the system, because windows 7 has a restricted access to administrator to run all system. So I set all file with .exe extension with administrator privileged. Run it again and still have same error. I try to find the way to solve it and browse internet to find another people that have same question with me. They said it because a different storage between userpath and our avd folder location. And this one solve my problem.

First step, copy the folder .android folder
Paste it to your user directory on X:/user/username/
Never delete your .android to keep your harddisk space because it will make you loose you avd

It's really help me to write down my idea from brain to image with this one. I'm not afraid to loose the chain of idea when rollback from the beginning.

Filtering Message with Mozilla Thunderbird

OK guys, let we see the background why I write this article. Now a day, there are so many spammer on internet that make our inbox full in a minutes. That email usually talk about winning a lottery, buy a medicine, want to know about you more further, and many way that spammer do. It will be really bored if we check our email that consist so many spam there and we urgent to find important email to read and reply it.

In email server, they have doing this for a long time ago. They ask user to give it a sign which one is a spam email or not. But for now they still cannot filter it with highly precision. But in this article we didn't talk about their utilities, but we talk about email client, Mozilla Thunderbird. It because I use it to download all my email from server and read it locally. How to do that? As always we do, we'll show it step by step.

Open your application of course. Find "Manage Message Filter" at front page. If you not see it, please click your email account that bold text on left side. I hope you already see like this one.
The pop up window will appear when you done first step. This window give you an option to add rules for your own purpose. You can make a different rules for different email account if you have more than one email account.
Add rule by click add button on the right side. New pop up window will appear again.
Set your rule. But how I know what rule should I use? Let we make an example, we want to filter email that in subject contain "Need reply urgent". We can filter it by choosing subject on left drop down list, contains on the middle drop down list, and one the text box we write our query. When an email match that rule, Thunderbird will perform the specified action you choose below. You can move it to folder, delete it, and many options there.
That's all friend, so you can explore the others pattern.

New Theme that I used for my Wordpress

This is my blog new face. Why I change it from P2 to this one anyway? First reason is I was transferring from old hosting place to new one. I hope it will more accessible and reliable to view Tulisanku without waiting longer like using that old themes. Because of that, all my file in old place still there and I didn't copy it to new one. Why? Nothing important reason doing that, just want to leave it behind and do it something new start from 0.

OK, I will tell you what theme I use now. It's a minimag. This themes niche is for magazine blog to show of their stories to reader. My blog isn't a magazine niche, but I like their features, especially featured posts in top using javascript to change it dynamically. For others features see below :

Plugin for Wordpress : Auto Social Poster

The main idea of this plugin is to make our jobs done with one job. What do you mean? Let we talk about it slow but sure. When we make a new post on our wordpress blog, we want it to be bookmarked to all bookmark web on internet. So, when our new post published, we do our next job, bookmark it to bookmark web. We have to open bookmark web one by one, for limited bandwidth especially. But if you have a good or an awesome bandwidth, you can open it simultaneously, and this is not a good thing to do. So with this plugin, our job to bookmark our new post will be done when we publish it. That's the main idea for details.
Now, this plugin has a compatible for wordpress v.2.1 to v.2.7. We will have a trouble if we install auto social poster on wordpress version below v.2.1 or above v.2.7. As we now know, wordpress has released wordpress v.2.8.x and soon will launch v.2.9.x. That for, we will talk about tips and tricks to make auto social poster to work well on your wordpress v.2.8.x, because now a day there are no blog using wordpress v.2.1.x.
Now we will see how to install this plugin, step by step like usually.

Unzip the download file. It contains one folder called social-poster.
Upload the entire social-poster folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder. Do not change the folder name. The plugin files must be located in a folder named /social-poster/
CHMOD the /tmp/ folder to 777
CHMOD file mm_conf.php to 666 or 777. File is located in /wp-content/plugins/social-poster/

We already done for installation by following steps above. Just activate the plugin and setting it. It's really simple to activate auto social poster, visit your plugin tab on your wordpress dashboard and click activate. To edit the setting, open your setting tab and choose social poster link there. What will you see?? I know what you see for the first time you click that link, because I feel it too. It say we have no right to access that page. This is the problem using auto social poster with wordpress v.2.8.x.
How to solve it and make auto social poster run? Just in case, it's a quite simple things we must do. Find mm_post.php on social poster folder in your plugin directory. Open and edit that file. Which one I must edit? Find this line dude

add_action ('admin_head', 'mm_add_menu');

Make a change on that line to be like this one

add_action ('admin_menu', 'mm_add_menu');

and save your work. Now visit social poster setting again. Bingo, you have grant an access to social poster. Congratulations dude, you did it well. Thanks for your attention. Rahim Rasyid

I found something unfamiliar file type called djvu yesterday when looking for an e-book. What is this? I don't what's that, but google know that. DjVu.org said "DjVu (pronounced 'déjà vu') is a digital document format with advanced compression technology and high performance value". So this are one of document type that used on internet. There are so many way to do that, using paid program, free program, and use plugin on our browser. Buy a software to do that? I don't think so, because I don't have enough money for that. So my choice is using free program. Why I buy an expensive program while free program can do it for me, right.
Now we'll talk about this free program, called IrfanView. We use this program just for home purpose only, not for business. We need to download installer and plugin for this porgram. You can find it at IrfanView website. After download it, first install the installer then plugin second. OK, that's all for this posting.
How about using plugin in browser? I've forgotten what it's name, but in fact you just need install that plugin. Browser that plugin support is Internet Explorer. After installation, you can open djvu file with IE. How to save it as pdf? You just need to print it, choose print as pdf.

Import Wordpress posts to Blogspot

We can see the meaning from picture above right? We want to migrate our blog from wordpress to blogspot. I think this is rarely happen to blogger, because if we use one of that engine, we'll loyal to use it. Never want to change it from wordpress to blogspot or vice versa. But it still worth to learn how to do that.
First step is login to your wordpress account. When you inside your dashboard, try to find tools tab and choose export. You will see page like this picture below.

For restrict Author option, you can choose it as you want. Default value is you will export all posts from all users. But in advance you can choose which author's posts want to export. Finish with that just push download button and save your .xml file.
Now we login to our blogspot and choose settings tab. You will see blog tools there, give you 3 option, import, export, and delete blog. You know what to do here, click import blog and you will see this

Now you know where to put .xml file that you've download from wordpress blog. Shall we put it now? Maybe you want to try it first before I answer that question. My answer we can't do that now. It's because xml format from wordpress is different with xml format for blogger. So what we do next? Convert it. Do it myself? Hahaha, we use service from other website. Please visit this blog

As he said on his blog, this trick just using a iframe on your blog / web. iframe used to show other web page on your page. With that code we'll make facebook appear on our blog / web. P2 themes for self hosting WP user

Previously, we already talk about this themes. For user on wordpress.com will have this theme with 4 tabs included, but for wordpress.org just have 1 tab for update status. We already now it, right?

Now, for WP self hosting user, this themes is ready to download. I've use it for tulisanku blog. It's really awesome theme and give me more way to make a new post.

New features that I discovered from this new version are :

As we mention above, we have 4 tabs now, for update status, blog post, quote, and link. In the first version we only have 1 tab to update status and make our blog look like twitter.
Permalink for our title is according to our own structure. I mean when we setting our permalink on setting tab, we will have permalink like that when we posting using blog post tab.
We can fine an option tab at dashboard to setting this themes preferences.

I think there are many more features in this new version, but for me this features the most important. But when implementing this theme, I have a problem with my socialize plugin. Because of that, I've to edit the code of that plugin tu suit with this theme. Everythings is good for me.

Hehehehe, nice prologue isn't it? I always see that script when watching a romance movie with writing diary scene. Usually women on the movie do that, maybe in real world too. Sometimes they use diary to tell a story that they can't tell to anybody.

We are not talking about romance in this post, but we'll talk about a diary, e-diary. Now a day we always interacting with technology, like computer, internet, phone cellular, and many more, make us to change our activities to follow it.

I think there are so many software that give us purposes like a diary. It could be a free one or paid one. I've saw it later years ago. But now I want to tell you that we can make a diary with notepad. Yes, notepad that we always use to type a simple message. How it could be? Let we see this step by step :

Open your notepad application.
Write this word on it

Next step save it and give it name. Maybe you would like to give it name Diary.txt. Place it where you can find it easily so when you want to write something, you know where to find it.
Now close it and feel free to open it next time.

Actually it's done after step 3. Now we will test it's working or not. Open your diary.txt now. When you open it you will see a time stamp had been writing automatically. I hope you will see like what I see below.

We realize it or not, every days we work with this one, Operating System, usually called OS. There are so many variances of OS, e.g. Windows, Linux, Unix, and others. We commonly hear are Windows ( any versions ) and Linux ( any distro ). The main different between this 2 OS is from license. Windows is paid OS and Linux variances is free one. For this posting we aren't talk about different at all, it's just a prologue, but we'll talk about what OS is.

OS has many definitions, but we can't say one is the good definition. We'll list it below :

OS is a resource allocator
Manages all resources
Decides between conflicting requests for efficient and fair resource use
OS is a control program
Controls execution of programs to prevent errors and improper use of the computer

There is no universally accepted definition for this. “The one program running at all times on the computer” is the kernel. Everything else is either a system program (ships with the operating system) or an application program.

We already talk about this in earlier article, "Wordpress theme, it's look like Twitter", and now we will see different between Twitter and this theme. In my first posting, this theme only can make status update on our blog and change our blog like Twitter. We still make a new posting from our dashboard manually. Now we'll see how powerful this theme for user that need a faster blogging theme. I think this is the answer.

Advantage about this theme is really simple theme and candy view. With ajax, it's feel like web 2.0 application. Every post will have comment thread that can grow automatically depend how many users give reply. This one make me really like this theme, simple tab to write something.

There are 4 tabs that we can use. Detail of each tab can we see below :

As twitter do, we just update our status with other user that read your blog. Permalink for your status will be created with your first line.

Actually, this theme work properly like that only with wordpress.com. Not for wordpress.org, because as my experience, for wordpress.org this theme just provide update status only without other tabs. But it's just case of time when they give this theme full for wordpress user self hosting. I'm waiting for that.

So many software that tell us about their advantages, cheapness, and many more that will make us to buy it or maybe to download it if free trial. We can install it commonly like other software. For paid software we'll feel safety to run installation. But how about free one? Do you dare to install it without any risk on your mind??

As the title, we'll compare between Blogger and Wordpress. We already know what is Blogger and what is Wordpress, right? I already write it before, just check it in previous post. Now we'll talk about advantage and disadvantage between both of this engine. First we'll talk about Blogger advantages. Make it point by point

Advantages with Blogger

First of all, it's free to have an account. We can make so many blog with 1 account.
One of Google service. It's mean our blog will be quickly to indexed by google search engine.
Templates provides with a large help in internet.
We are able to customize template source code to insert our own code.
Our blog name will be a subdomain from blogspot.com. But we can make custom domain later.
Space and bandwidth unlimited.

Disadvantages with Blogger

We need to know about our template source code so we can modify it as we want to.
We can't easily add a function that we want.
Some script from third party services can't installed with blogger.

How to use TwitterFeed

I had write an article about Update your Facebook with Twitter and vice versa. In progres to make update from facebook to our twitter, we use TwitterFeed. Now we'll talk about this powerful web and how to use TwitterFeed.
Maybe it'll really helpful if we make it on step by step. Let's begin!

first of all, we usually register our self on that website so we can use their services. It will be done in 10 to 15 minutes. But we can skip it ( not really skip ) by using our openID to sign in. With sign in using our openID, we don't need to register, fulfill all text boxes, and check our email for comfirmation.
Verify your account first and then you can use services from TwitterFeed. For them whom using openID, you will be redirecting to your login page to confirm you are the owner.
I hope you have done step 2 and I assume you have login to TwitterFeed.
When you login, Twitter will give you services that you can use. It's look like picture below

You can only pick one in a time.For our example here, I will use twitter service.
Click button that appears and you will be redirecting to give authentication to use your twitter account. I assume you have logged in to your twitter account.
Click Allow button to give TwitterFeed access to your twitter.
After click Allow button, we'll redirecting again to TwitterFeed page again, like ping pong game right!
Next step we give a name for our feed and feed url from our blog/web.
Write what you want for feed name box. For rss feed url, use your feed. If you not sure about it, you can test it first with button on the right side.
Then we click create feed button.

There are an advance settings that we can modify. But I think default setting is a good one. If you want to explore about it, you can do it easily without worrying something gonna happen with your web. Thanks

Wordpress Permalink Modification

Now we talk again about wordpress. You know what is wordpress, don't you? If you don't, you can read this article first. In this article, we want to make a little modification with our permalink. Permalink is permanent link to our post. It's look like post address that can be directly visited by our visitor without opening our homepage. This is very useful when somebody want to make a reference to our blog post.
First of all, let we see default permalink that wordpress give us for the first time we use it. We'll an address like below for our posting address :

http://www.domainname.com/?p=123

OK, that's the default from wordpress. This is not give us much information about that post. Sometimes, when we see the permalink to any post, we can predict what it's talking about. With that format above, we can't predict what will we see after open it. This isn't good for our blog because search engine not like that form.
Now we want something more humanity than that right? Wordpress give us control to do that. Change our permalink format at our dashboard. After login to your dashboard, choose settings --> permalink. You'll see some option that wordpress give to us. Just look like picture below.

You can choose your format there.There are 4 common options shown to us. In this article we'll talk about 4th option, custom structure. To fulfill that textbox, we have many parameters that could be use. This are the list of parameters that we can found on wordpress.org as reference :

%year%: The year of the post, four digits, for example 2004
%monthnum%: Month of the year, for example 05
%day%: Day of the month, for example 28
%hour%: Hour of the day, for example 15
%minute%: Minute of the hour, for example 43
%second%: Second of the minute, for example 33
%postname%: A sanitized version of the title of the post (post slug field on Edit Post/Page panel). So “This Is A Great Post!” becomes this-is-a-great-post in the URI. Starting Permalinks with %postname% is strongly not recommended for performance reasons.. *** Note - this has been changed and is ok to do since ver. 2.0
%post_id%: The unique ID # of the post, for example 423
%category%: A sanitized version of the category name (category slug field on New/Edit Category panel). Nested sub-categories appear as nested directories in the URI. Starting Permalinks with %category% is strongly not recommended for performance reasons.
%tag%: A sanitized version of the tag name (tag slug field on New/Edit Tag panel). Starting Permalinks with %tag% is strongly not recommended for performance reasons.
%author%: A sanitized version of the author name.

That's all parameters. We can combine it as we like. But it will give effect to our blog visibility in search engine.

NB : If your page has been indexed in search engine database, change your permalink now will make all indexed page can't seen by visitor, it'll redirecting to 404.

All of us know about Facebook, one of the famous social networking on internet. This social network has embeded chat application on it pages. We can chat directly to our friend without disturbing us browsing our Facebook. As we now, a chat application always have a smilies that we use to expression emotion when we chat. Bit is the smallest unit of data that used a computer. Bit used to represent two kinds of data or information, such as yes or no, 0 or 1. The data can be found daily has many forms, such as: sound, letters, numbers, photographs, images, movies and so on.

Each number 0 and 1 called Bit (Binary Digit). Binary word-which means two or a pair, taken from a Binary Number System (Binary Numbers System). Binary Number System is one of the number system used by computers that only use two numbers to represent the symbol of a scale value of 0 and 1. In contrast to humans who use the decimal system which consists of 10 symbols numbers: 0-9.

Eight Bits equal 1 Byte. Byte represent 256 units of information, such as numbers or a combination of numbers and letters. 1 Byte approximately equal to one character.

1000 Byte (1024 Byte exact definition depends on the unit used) is equal to 1 Kilobyte.

1000 Kilobytes equal to 1 Megabyte. In the early days of computing world, 1 Megabyte is the amount of data is very large. But on this day the computer with a 80 Gigabyte hard drives were common, 1 Megabyte no longer regarded as a very large size. An old floppy disk size 3 1 / 2 inch can hold 1.44 Megabytes or equal to the charge of a small notebook. 100 Megabytes might hold a number of free.

Hi all, long time no see, hehehe. This blog really quite a long time has no new post. So, for today, I just wanna share how to download a video only with your browser. Do you already know what is a browser right! For windows user, you will be familiar with IE ( Internet explorer ).

Another browser that used by most people are Mozilla firefox, Opera, and Safari. There are a lot of browser, but that's the common we know.
Now, we often see a good video but we can't download it to view later if we want. There is a lot of independent program to do that. But in this posting, we will use an add on or plugin on our browser.

For Mozilla Firefox, we can use FlashGot add on. This add on really useful for download the video. Just play the video that you want to download, after that you can see an indicator at the bottom leftside the progress bar. Just click it, and the video will be on your computer soon.

For Opera, I ever use a Flash Video Downloader. This plugin working when you give it a link to the page of video. After that, just wait a second, the link to download the video will be given to you.

How to do that? I have some blog that hosted on wordpress.com. OK, this is the way, just make a new post, or a new page, or use a text widget, then write this code [archives] and publish it. In default, this action will generate all your post, from the latest to newest, and give a link to it.
There is muce option that you perhap to give a try.

Update your Facebook with Twitter and vice versa

We already know about twitter and facebook. Facebook is most famous social networking web around the world. I, myself known facebook when friendster goes down for a week. And now, I am prefer to use facebook to friendster. Twitter, some of us call this with mini blogging. Why? It because we just say a few word, but it can give a powerfull meaning for our activity. Some big website make it promo in this mini blog to get a traffic.
OK, I hope we already have an account in both of that sites. We want to link it to update our status. The main key is we want to make an update in one of them, e.g in facebook, but when we update it, in our twitter do the same action, and vice versa. It cut our time to update it one by one.
This is the way how to do it :

Facebook to Twitter
First, find your status RSS feed on Facebook.We can find it if we visit our profile and on our mini-feed select "See All". On the right side, we will see a list of items, select “status stories” and finally below this a feed link can be found. Next step is to add your newly found status RSS feed to the TwitterFeed. In this step, we can set our update frequentcy, prefixed it with "From Facebook..." and we publishing just the title.
Twitter to Facebook
The official Twitter Facebook app (found here: http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/) has an option after you install it to update your Facebook status with your latest tweet. We need to understand that there is a delay if you use twitter frequently.Overall it's really powerfull to make an update for both with one update in a side.

First step using VMWare

VMware is a software to make a virtual machine in your PC to work like a dedicated PC. This software help use to try before use an operating system. In this post, we'll talk about how to make a virtual machine. VMware is a licensed software, so you have to buy it. Don't to be affraid, the publisher give a trial software to use. If you want a freeware software are like VMware, you can choose virtualbox.
Like before, we'll do this in step-by-step to make you understand how to do it. OK, we start now :

Absolutely, we have to run our VMware program first.
Now we click file -- new -- virtual machine. Like in this image below
After that, you will see a window pop up to start the wizard. We already now what to do right? Just click next button to next window.
When next button clicked, we will see a window is like image below

There are two radio button to decide our choice. In this window we'll choose our virtual machine type. There are two type you can choose, first one is typical type and second one is custom type.
- Typical : it's a default computer option. Like a complete computer in real world.
- Custom : we can choose the hardware we want to use or not. This is for advance user and know what he need.
We choose our guest OS in this window. There are a group of OS in this world. Choose what you want to try. There are five main groups of OS.
The OS that you choose have to have a name and a directory to place all file.
Next step we choose our network type. There are four types of network, use bridged networking, use NAT, use host-only networking, and the last don't use a network connection.
After choosing your OS, we continue to set your virtual harddisk drive. And this is our final task
Just click finish, and you are ready to run your virtual machine. Don't forget to load your OS CD installation first to your CD-ROM.

Thats all to make a virtual machine with VMware. Maybe it'll a little different with virtualbox, but allover same. Rahim Rasyid

Now About Publish Area in Wordpress

In my latest post, we had talked about how to make a post in wordpress blog. In this post, it still about how to make a post, but we concern to publish area in the right sidebar. We can see it like this image below

We will talk more deeply about this image. Now we will start it with this one, two button in the upper position.

Save Draft : your post will be a draft in edit posting area, so it will not publish until you set it back to publish.
Preview : you will see your post before you really posting it in you blog. It will look like your true post.

After that button, we will see three more setting to control our post, they are status, visibility, and publish. We also see a link with edit text. In this edit mode, we can change some properties for this post. First, we talk about status.

Status; if we click edit link, you will see like this image below

You will have a drop down list to choose you post status. There is two option, first draft and second publish
Visibility; it set your post who will see it after you publishing your post.

In this setting, you can set your post to visible for all internet user or some people that know password to open that post, or really private.You can give a tick for "Stick this post to the front page" to make this post always shown in your homepage. How much you make a post after this post, this post always stand front your first page forever. In private mode, this post will only see by member in your blog.
One more left, publishing mode. OK, you already click the edit link don't you. We have like this

If you didn't change anything in this form, your post will immediately appear in your blog after you push publish button. This is how we make a scheduling post. You just need to set the month, date, year and time to make your post publish automatically. This function really help for bloger, because when we have a lot of inspiration to write, we can schedule it for our blog frequency of making a post.

Good evening everybody, I wish you all in good condition today. According to my latest post, I'm promise to show you how to make a post in wordpress blog. You didn't ever read my latest post? Maybe you perhapes read it first. OK, I assume all of you had been read my latest post, so we'll continue our step to make a good blog.
As usually, I'll give you step by step how to post, watch below my friends :

For this first step, you know what to do, don't you? Yes, open your dashboard. You will see so many link to customize your blog.
Now, we want to make a new post, rigth? Choose add new in post widget in left side bar. You can see this image I hope.
After that, you will see a page to write what you want to write. I'll not give you a screenshoot, because it to big to display ( lol ).
Now we will talk about navigation.
Number 1 in image above is place to type your post title. Number 2 for formating your typing in post and number 3 for switch between composed mode with html mode.
After you finish write your post, this is next step you have to done. Set properties of your post.
Tag will make your post in a category, an it will be associate with other post with same tag.

Make a Blog with Blogger

In my previous post, we have been successfully to create our blog with Wordpress. I hope all of you done it well in your first try. Now, we will try to make a blog with other provider, Blogger. For this blog, I use blogger indeed. But why I write about Wordpress first? Ahh, that's just in mood.
Ok, we will start now to make our new blog. Step by step :

As always, our first step is open blogger homepage.
After loading finished, you will see a candy view button like below.
Click it to create a blog. You will see a form to fulfill with your data.
In this form, you will make your account to access the blog next time. Why I have to make a google account? I want to make a blog, not make a google account. Don't worry, this is just a form. This come because blogger is one of google product.
Fill all the box, and than click the continue button to next step.
Now, you will see two box to fill. First is the blog tittle that will appear in top of the browser.
Second one is for your url.
After that, you will prompt to choose a template for your blog.
Choose your template and click continue.
In this step, you have finished to create your blog in blogger. Congratulations.

That's all friends, you have just create a blog. Easy isn't it!!! After that, what should I do now? Wait for my next post. Rahim Rasyid

Make a Blog with Wordpress

Now a day, every people can make a blog without know about html or web programming. Just a simple click, next, next, and bang, you have a blog. There are so many engine to generate a blog, e.g. Wordpress, Blogger, Myspace, even Friendster give it to you for free. In this post, I want to talk about Wordpress first, and maybe I will try with another engine.
Why we choose wordpress? Maybe we can answer that for simplicity and it like CMS ( content management system) because we can use it for our own domain and own hosting. Now we talk about make a blog with wordpress as our domain. We make new blog with name blablabla.wordpress.com.
This is step by step to make it :

First of all, you have to open wordpress home page http://www.wordpress.com
Once you open wordpress homepage, you will see a huge button with "Sign Up Now" text.
Click it, and you will see a form to fullfil.
Fill the box with your data. You have to remember your username and password, because it your key to dashboard.
In the bottom of form, there is 2 radio button. I will explain this in 2 point.

gimme a blog. This is what we wanna do now. With click this radio button, you will have a new blog as subdomain from wordpress.com.
just a username, please. You only have username without a blog. This function given by wordpress to whom want to participate to other blog.

Now we click next to other form. In this form we will chose our blog name, blog title, and a tickle privacy.
This is the last step, next to finish.

Now, you have your blog with wordpress. After I have a blog, what I should do next??

Wordpress is one from a lot of engines to create a blog. People who did not know well about coding and make a script, like this one. WP can use like blogger, subdomain, e.g. sudoma.wordpress.com. Blogger do so, retora.blogspot.com.
OK, we will talk about, where to download WP. There are 2 kinds of WP version. First one is stable version. Until I write this article, the latest version is v.2.8. But I have a little problem with this version, I can't modify my widget. I don't know why, maybe my connection not so fast to load the page. So I decide to back to v.2.7.1.
Now, do you wanna download WP? Just come to wordpress.org. Once you arrived, the homepage will show you link to download the latest version. Click, wait, and install.
But if you wanna see another version, choose in the left side, release-archives link. It contain all wordpress version that had been develop.

Hiren's BootCD is a wonderful live CD containing various programs such as Hard drive recovery, Hard Drive Partition, Hard Drive Backup, Hard Drive Testing, RAM (Memory) Testing, System Information, MBR (Master BootRecord), BIOS, MultiMedia, Password, NTFS (FileSystems), Antivirus, AntiSpy, Process, Windows Startup, Registry tools, Windows Cleaners, Optimizers, Tweakers, and many others...
As it is a bootable CD, it can be useful even if the primary operating system cannot be booted. We may call it as an emergency cd which every computer technician or home user must have.

In our mind, first read bootCD, we know that the media to use it with CD. Maybe this is not so comfortable for many people to borrow a CD anywhere than a flash drive, rigth! Ok, there is a way to make this bootCD work in flash drive, we have a step to be done :

Connect USB Pen Drive (256Mb or more)
Download and Run USB Disk Storage Format usb_format.zip (34KB)
Download and Run grubinst_gui grub4dos.zip (147KB)
Copy grldr and menu.lst (from grub4dos.zip) to the usb drive
Insert the BootCD (9.7 or newer) in the CD Drive and Copy everything from CD to USB Flash Drive
Test Your USB Drive

How to test that your USB work? Its a quite simple to do, just make sure your computer to boot first check the usb drive. If you can enter to hiren's bootCD menu, your work is done and success. But if you still come to your OS, please make sure your computer boot from USB and do it again the steps above.

To Enter the BIOS press the "Del" button on your keyboard. Alternatives are "F1", "F2", "Insert", and "F10". Some PC's BIOS might even require a different key to be pressed. Commonly a PC will show a message like "Press [Del] to enter Setup" to indicate that you need to press the "Del" key. Some AMI BIOS require you to enable the option "USB Keyboard Legacy support"!
For AMI BIOS:

Go to "Feature Setup". "Enable" these options: "USB Function Support",
"USB Function For DOS" and "ThumbDrive for DOS". Go to "Advanced Setup".
Set the "1st Boot Device" to "USB RMD-FDD".
Reboot the PC and it now should boot from the Usb Stick.
Go to "USB Mass Storage Device Configuration". Select "Emulation Type"
and set it to "Harddisk". Go to the "Boot Menu" and set the "1st boot device" to "USB-Stick". Exit the BIOS, saving the changes.
you can try "Emulation Type" to "Floppy" or "Forced FDD".

For PHOENIX/AWARD BIOS:

Go to "Advanced BIOS Features". Go to the "1st Boot device" and set it to "USB-ZIP".

Now, based on my experiences, this software has a problem to run in vista and above to run the vpn inside. Why like that? Its because yf has no permission to add routing for vista, it can only made by administrator level. We always see "add route via IPAPI failed" in message windows. OK, that the problem to solve in this post. Do you think hard to fix it? Hehehehe, not as hard as find a good theme for this blog.

Now we learn about the application.Yf made with java based, so it will be launch with java executor. This is the main point. Your java executor usually run in normal mode, not in administrator level. We know our problem, so you have to change java executor how to run.

For step by step :

Open the place where your java application installed.
Find the executor with this name : "javaw.exe"
Right click at it, choose properties and choose compatible tab.
Do you see Previlege Level? Give a tick to the check box below.
Finish, press OK. And now you can run your yf normally.

Pidgin Error? This is How to Solve it

Some day, my pidgin error. I don't know why, but it's really make me feel bad. Finally, I tried to find answers on the internet and various forums. What you need you can find it in internet and I found the answer
To make our pidgin work properly, Pager server on pidgin setting have to modified with the ip address listed below:
66.163.181.166 or
66.163.181.173

How to do that? This is how to do it :

Log in to your account. Choose account-> your id -> select edit account.
Modify account will appear in a second, select the advanced tab.
See column Page Server and the first content is cs.msg.yahoo.com? Replace it with the ip address that have been given.
The final step is save the settings.

After all, you can be happy again with the message your pidgin

How to set up post by email with wordpress

This post is like the previous post, but now we use wordpress. Nothing is different, we just need to focus what we want to do, write a post in our blog using email. Just follow this steps :

Log in to your wordpress account.
After log in, we will see our account homepage.
Look above your profile picture, there is some links. Choose My Dashboards->Manage Blogs
If you have more than one blog, you will see all your blog in here with table view.
See the Post by Email columns? I know you see it. There is a button to enable post by email.
This is the different between blogger and wordpress to enable post by email. In blogger, we can choose the email address we want to use, but in wordpress, the email is generate automatically by wordpress.

Sometimes we didn't have much bandwidth to open blogger homepage to write a post. And we didn't have much time to log in to our dashboard. To solve this problems, we can use this feature, post by email. How to do that? Just follow this steps :

Log in to your blogger account.
We will see our blog list if we have more than one.
See an envelope image beside your blog headline? If you do just click it.
If you don't see that envelope, I suggest you to change your dashboard to draft dashboard mode.
After click it, you will be prompt to fullfill a text box. It will be address to handling your post by email.
Write what ever you like, but remember it. OK.
